Oliver Tearle is a literary critic, blogger, and poet. He is a lecturer in English at Loughborough University, and the author of, among others, T. E. Hulme and Modernism (Bloomsbury) and The Great War, The Waste Land and the Modernist Long Poem (Bloomsbury).

He founded Calenture in 2020 as an occasional blog for sharing his poems and his thoughts on poetry.

His first book of poetry, the long poem The Tesserae, was published by Newtnext Press in 2020. Infinity Pool (Newtnext Press, 2022) is his first poetry collection.
